The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a team of people representing various segments of the community: parents, teachers, students, administrators, support staff, business/industry people and other interested community members. The purpose of SAC is to support the school improvement plan and review relevant data, identify problem areas, develop improvement strategies, and monitor their implementation (School Advisory Council, 1999).

*All meetings will start at 6:30pm and will be held in the NFMHS Media Center.

SAC Projects

The North Fort Myers School Advisory Committee (SAC) is working with school administration and staff to help improve communication to our parents. Here are a few things we are working on:

• Weekly Happenings: This publication and its format is the result of a parent suggestion to inform parents of upcoming events, meetings and general dates. Please let us know if you have any suggestions or if you are not getting this every Friday.

• Calculator Donation Box: Continually looking for new/used calculators to assist any student at North that may need one for their class. Monetary donations also accepted.  Donations are accepted any time through the year. Please help spread the word!

• What I Wish I Knew Document: Document created to assist in answering questions any parent or student may have about the four years of high school at North High.
