The Digital Media Department at North Fort Myers HS consists of two pathways: Digital Media Arts and Digital Media STEM pathways.
The Digital Media Arts area of focus helps to develop each student’s artistic creativity in digital art communications through courses set up to give a wider variety of learning experiences. Students have the opportunity to explore Digital Design courses , Sports Broadcasting, and TV Production while becoming familiar with a variety of advanced computer applications. In our state-of-the-art multimedia facilities, students will have access to professional camera equipment, technology, studio equipment, and an ever-growing list of industry standard software to help them to bring their ideas to fruition.
Throughout their high school career, students will create a high-quality electronic portfolio that showcases their artistic and technical abilities. By graduation, they will have the training and experience necessary to enter an advanced digital media arts program or to embark upon a career in their chosen media arts field.
Additionally, the Digital Media STEM pathway is a new and exciting opportunity for students to engage in technology systems that will foster innovation and empower student to follow in modeling and simulation technology careers. Since this is a new initiative, the sky is the limit on what this learning experience can branch of into. Since we are the only HS in the district to spearhead this learning opportunity, we are looking for students who are interested and eager to conceptualize, plan, and create great things.
