Cambridge AICE Program

The Cambridge AICE Program (Advanced International Certificate of Education) at the AS an A Levels is an innovative and accelerated method of academic study offered through the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).

The AICE program and curriculum is overseen by the University of Cambridge, an institution consistently ranked as one of the top five academic universities in the world. It is a flexible, broad-based curriculum, which is offered worldwide at schools and colleges in over 150 countries. For over 170 years the prestigious University of Cambridge has been setting worldwide curriculum standards through their examinations.

The Cambridge AICE Program at North Fort Myers High School students will enroll in college credit-based courses all four years of their high school careers. By exposing students to the rigors of challenging academic coursework throughout their career we are not only helping them develop a stronger educational foundation, but we are also allowing them the best opportunity to earn as many college credits as possible before graduating high school. In many cases the Cambridge AICE program (AS and A Levels) allows candidates to complete the AICE Diploma by selecting the syllabi most interesting and most relevant to them. At North we offer more than 30 AICE courses ranging from AICE Global Perspectives to AICE Art and Design.

Programs

Dual Enrollment

Dual Enrollment and Early Admissions are programs that allow high school students to take Florida Southwestern University courses while also earning high school credit toward graduation.

Usually, this program is available during the junior and senior year of high school. A minimum grade point average, college entrance test scores, or concordant scores on ACT or SAT college entrance test scores are required in order to participate.

Traditionally, North High has offered three or more FSW courses, taught by our own FSW-certified faculty, on our campus each semester, so our students don’t need to travel to the FSW campus to take advantage of this opportunity.

Programs

Industry Certifications

Students who enroll in technology electives will be immersed in a variety of the latest software applications. We offer training in over 15 different applications across 26 different courses. Within those courses we also offer a total of 9 certifications including Microsoft Office 2013, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Toon Boom. North High is an official testing center, offering students the ability to gain these valuable certifications right on our campus which count towards college credit, can be added to college applications, and look great on professional resumes.

We are #1! North has the highest number of certifications in the West Zone.
