What is Cambridge AICE?
The Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) Program is an internationally recognized, college-preparatory program developed by the University of Cambridge. AICE allows students to take advanced courses in subjects they’re interested in - like sciences, humanities, arts, and more - while building strong research, writing, and critical thinking skills.
Students can work toward earning the AICE Diploma, which not only looks great on college applications, but also automatically qualifies students for the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship (100% tuition) provided the requisite 100 hours of community service and/or work hours are also completed.
Why Choose the AICE Program?
The AICE Program is designed to help students grow academically and personally. It offers the challenge of advanced coursework along with the flexibility to explore areas of interest. Students are encouraged to think deeply, question thoughtfully, and understand multiple perspectives - skills that are essential in college and in today’s global world.
Students choose AICE because it:
- Builds College Readiness: AICE courses prepare students for the pace and expectations of college-level work.
- Allows Personal Choice: Students select courses that match their interests, strengths, and future goals.
- Strengthens College Applications: Colleges and universities worldwide recognize AICE as evidence of academic rigor and commitment.
- Provides Scholarship Opportunities: The AICE Diploma offers a pathway to the Bright Futures Academic Scholarship, covering up to 100% tuition at Florida public universities.
- Encourages Global Thinking: Students learn to analyze issues from multiple viewpoints and communicate effectively.
Who is AICE For?
AICE is a great fit for students who are curious, motivated, and ready to challenge themselves - but that doesn’t mean students need to be perfect or already know exactly what they want to do after high school.
AICE is for students who:
- Enjoy learning and asking questions
- Are willing to put in effort and stay organized
- Want to build strong college-ready skills – for example: analysis, evaluation, critical thinking
- Are looking for a supportive environment where teachers guide them through advanced coursework focused on applying the information they learn
- Want flexibility to choose rigorous classes that match their strengths and interests
