Center for the Arts & Media

The North Fort Myers High School Center for Arts and Media provides an exciting opportunity for artistically talented high school students in the West Zone. Once selected, students will become part of an artistic environment designed to develop their talents to the highest possible level while fostering an appreciation and love of the arts which will serve them well in the pursuit of the next step in their educational training and chosen careers.

Admission

Admission to the North Fort Myers High School Center for Arts and Media West Zone program is by audition only. In addition to the North Fort Myers High School Center for Arts and Media application, a West Zone school application should also be completed according to the published timeline. Should a student be accepted into the arts and media program followingthe audition, that student may be released from the school assigned by School Assignment in order to attend North Fort Myers High School Center for Arts and Media program. All students enrolling in the arts and media program must complete four semesters in the program to be considered for a waiver should they choose to leave the program. (School District of Lee County Administrative Regulation 1.63)

Auditions

The Center for Arts and Media holds auditions every spring. There are currently five tracks within the Arts & Media program: Dance, Media Arts, Musical Arts, Theatre Arts, and Visual Arts. Students interested in becoming part of our programs need to stop by the school and pick up an application.

Students who are currently enrolled in a West Zone high school or who are currently enrolled in eighth grade at a West Zone middle school are eligible to audition and participate in the Center for Arts and Media.
